Hello those that wish to read this thread...
The turn of the year I decided that it was time to sort my money situation out, debts spiraling out of control and taking from Peter:mad: to pay Paul:D... started looking in Feb on this site took some time asked lots of questions and still thought that I could turn it around until I put the figures in black and white:eek:.
My IVA was accepted back in July and I have just made my 3rd payment.. times are hard don't get me wrong... but it beats having a credit card statement turn up once a month:beer:....
This message is a thankyou for all those who replied to previous questions and for all those who may choose and IVA path to resolve you financial situations... Its a big decision to make and its for 5 years, but i'm feeling better every day....:rotfl:.

Well done, debtfree, on recognising the situation and, more imnportantly, doing something positive to deal with it.
It isn't an easy ride, but a far better one than the constant worry and hassle ... 5 short years and you WILL be "Debt Free"0 -
And they do go really quick! We only have 27hours(!!!!!) until our final payment is made and it still feels like only yesterday that we had to stop sticking our head in the sand and own up to our situation.
It really does teach you the value of money and also how to budget. Sometimes I wish there was more guidance, especially if you are paying for it!
It can be stressful, we found year 3 the worst but it does fly by.
Good luckCabot (0%) left to pay £2455 let the overpayments commence!0 -
