    Where in Portugal?

I can see it being quite expensive since the volume is quite large.

Wouldn't it have been easier to buy one there?
  • Thanks guys

It's for my mum - she can't get out to Portugal to choose one there as my dad is so ill with Parkinsons Disease and can't be left but we need one for the villa they rent out as the old suite is on its last legs and she has been told by the villa rental company it must be replaced before the beginning of this new season.

Thanks will check out the site you suggest BD xxx

I would be quite surprised if you would not be better off buying one locally as it is going to be quite a large volume and therefore expensive. Could you ask the rental agents to quote a price for arranging purchase and delivery for you in Portugal? Otherwise it might be worth contacting removals companies in the Yellow Pages who offer an international service as they may be able to squeeze on the back of a lorry on its way to somewhere nearby.

A suite will cost a ridiculous amount to ship, and is especially daft for a rental property. It doesn't matter if you/your mum like it, so the agent who deals with the property could sort it out. It would be much less hassle, especially as she has other things to worry about.
Alternatively maybe you could grab a cheap flight & pop over for a weekend to source one for her?
