But there's nothing in the UK economy that justifies our current safe-haven status.

There aren't that many safe places to invest now, so if seek political and structural safety coupled with potential then the UK is very much one of the best places to be.

When making predictions, don't fall for the typical and outmoded method of extrapolating a linear line from the current evidence.

The UK will be booming within 3 years, and I speak as a natural pessimist.

    Any particular sector?

How long until the next deal has to be agreed, and another bucket load of free cash for the Greeks?

Dunno, but it will be amusing if Slovakia vote no.

Can see the response now.... "Incorrect....try again".

Glad you brought Slovakia up Dev. Apparently the question going round there is "why should we bail out a country that is wealthier than us?" There is a reasonable chance AIUI that the vote will be lost in Slovakia.

Had enough. Have another 2, just waiting for some news on one, and the other I'm down 62%, so no real point in selling up.

When I see so called investors cheering on 0.4% rises, I know it's a sign of desperation.

Wow, I thought my portfolio sucked. - What on earth are you buying?

Granted. But in the Slovakian case their government may act.

If I was German I'd be pretty annoyed. If I was Slovakian and earning less than Greek average wage I'd be apoplectic.
