Pay in lieu of notice question while on additional maternity leave

I will soon be on unpaid maternity leave (except for SMP) and I am not convinced that there will be a job for me to go back to. I have been told by a few peope that should this be the case then my employer should offer me redundancy.
My question is will I be entitled to pay in lieu of notice? If if my employer is not paying me due to being on unpaid maternity leave? All other employees are entitled to three months notice with pay.
Thanks.

AIUI normal notice applies and it should be paid as if you were at work.0
