These aren't listed on the Sennheiser website, closest I can find are the HD497's so reckon these are end-of-line and doubt they'll be getting any more in..

I got my order in early, however I've received the following email today:

"Dear Mr xxx,

With reference to your order.

We have been informed by our suppliers that the item you have ordered, Sennheiser HD495 Headphones are longer available. There is no direct replacement at this time.
We do sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, please rest assured that we have not debited your card. We will take the necessary action and cancel your existing order for you. If you do find another model that you may be interested in please let us know, we can make your account live again in an instant.

That's a shame. According to the link kindly posted later, Ask still have them in stock, though. I'm going to try to pick up a pair from Tottenham Court Road on Wednesday; otherwise postage is a fiver.

I had reason to be in town, so I did. They were hanging on security hooks and so they had to get me one. I got it home (motorbike or I'd have fiddled with it on the Tube!) to find that it had been opened and had no lead! :'-( Of course they wouldn't post me a lead, so have had to get someone to take it back and exchange it.

But the interesting thing is that the shelf price was £29 - £10 more expensive. Luckily I followed the instructions to print out the web page and they accepted that without quibbling. Just shows how much more you pay if you impulse buy.
