I have a set of these Sennheiser headphones they are one of the best makes available.

when i was looking to buy a pair,I was advised to avoid anything japanese, and go for semi enclosed for better sound.

    Thanks Overlord,

They were out of stock but getting some in so I have just placed an order for some.

According to a review I read they take the same lead as my HD570s. I paid £19.99 two years ago just to replace the lead (I'm on my 3rd because most night I fall asleep to music) so if/until it goes again I'll either have a decent pair of backup headphones or a cheap replacement lead.

Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

I have had a pair of these for a few years - they are fantastic - particularly when plugged into the PC. One thing to note though - they are the "open" type of headphones which means others will hear your music too :-)
  • how loud does it have to be for others to hear and how far?! its because i wanna listen to it in my room and not let the noise go outside!

It's not very loud - but audible. It depends on how loud you listen.

They are not "closed" headphones which cover the ear and do not let any sound out (like what you may see in a studio).
