Pre-payment meters

We've just spent the first month in our new home. Our house came with pre-payment meters and we're finding the credit is running down quickly. I've had normal billed electricity before but not gas.

We've heard that they're not the best deal and I was wondering what other peoples experiences are, if people think its better to stick where I am or move? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

PPM tariffs are now about the same as a standard credit tariff but you get none of the discounts available on other tariffs for paying by DD, online account management etc.

What they do do is make you realise how much you are using.

If you want normal credit meters then ask for them to be changed.

As said just give them a call and ask. You have proven payment record for your previous property which helps.
