Hi
Does anyone have a solution to the withdrawal of the save Itunes library to CD/DVD after version 10.4.1 My Itunes is the most valuable thing on my desktop and I don't want to buy a removable hard drive just for this when I have been content to save to CD for some time. Can anyone provide any suggestions - maybe save to folder and then save to CD?
Thanks.:j

How many CDs does it take to back up your iTunes library....?0

Apparently I would need to use 88. Not sure I would want to waste my time doing so.
Not sure why OP uses CDs to back up digital content (doesn't it rather defeat the purpose?) but if that's what they are happy doing....
OP, navigate to the Itunes folder on PC, then Itunes Media, then Music. You can copy from there or highlight and right click where Windows will give you the option to send to disc.0 -
All of my iTunes library has been loaded from CDs or from mp3 files stored elsewhere - so if iTunes throws a wobbly, I can always reload from somewhere.
I use a 160Gb Classic, I shudder to think how many backup CDs I would need......0 -
Find your itunes music library. On my win 7 PC it's at C:\Users\Dave\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music. Obviously replace Dave with your user name.
Now burn to the files to a data DVD.
Important treat the AAC/MP3 files as data not music. Don't try to burn as audio. A single layer DVD-r will hold about 100 albums, depending on song length and bit rate.
Nero and imgburn will do the same job

Thanks all for replies .... the reason I will still back up to DVD is because in relative terms I have a small Itunes library so I am nowhere near the 88 CD mark .. Thanks to Dave for pointing out a good solution.
