Mira sport electric shower running cold

With typically great timing, as in my combi boiler has gone down again....My back up plan for hygienes sake was my above electric shower. I had a tennant using the shower, seems he had turned temperature up to max to clean the bath? I came to use the shower which was running boiling hot, turned the water temp. down, however it will no longer heat up the water. Any ideas please??

You may need to replace the thermal switch on top of the heater can.

Hi, My Mira Sport 10.8kw shower does the same thing. I get constant cold water no matter what temperature setting and flow setting. I did buy a TCO (Thermal Switch) from Mira but it hasn't done the trick as I still get constantly cold water. I may have not connected the correct wires back to the new Thermal Switch so can anyone tell me which wires go where on the thermal switch as Mira will not tell me.

I had same problem with my mira, was the thermal switch that was goosed.

Naz, if you did not have the good sense to jot down wire configeration, then do not dabble my friend, you are a long time dead if something goes wrong, hair on end thinking of water and 10.8kw!!!!

You connect them the same way the old one was connected. If you have connected them properly perhaps its not the switch in your case its the can itself which is likely if its not heating any water at all. But they ain't cheap. Replacement shower time? What do you mean by Mira won't tell you?

my bet is mira won't tell him two fold 1. they have there own engineers which they want you to use. 2.if he does it hurts himself or someone else mira could be sued, heading like america.
