Ebay Log In - problem with computer?

I have had problems with ebay most of this afternoon - it was ok this morning. It logged me out & since then I have been unable to get back in - i was told I was entering the incorrect password, got them to phone with log in PIN, enter new password twice and am told they don't match - I have witnesses on more than one occasion!
I phoned ebay who said they thought I had browser errors but talked me through a different reset - but as soon as I went to sell something it asked me to put my password in & I am back to square one.
I have tried with ie, firefox & chrome & all are the same.
The only thing I've done differently in the last few days is download a programme called Rapport - needed for Smile banking & supplied by them. I can't see how that could have affected anything & ebay was ok till around 12.30.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

have a search through the techie board - rapport is a known pain in the a$$ of a program. It is not compulsory, or supplied by your bank. If your issues have only been since you installed it, remove it using revo uninstaller and try ebay again..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Thankyou. After a tortuous process I have managed to uninstall and all is well (& have just listed some nice tops if anyone is interested
).
Will be back tomorrow asking how to log on to my bank without it...;).... Actually, I have just managed to log on to bank account with no problems, so totally confused now

rapport is a "security" prog, which incorporates keylogger technology which a lot of banks have been conned into endorsing - you do not have to use it, nor do you need it to log in to your bank.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I seem to recall reading that it stops you having the same password for more than one situation, not really a good idea anyway, but could be the reason you had the original problem.
Not that I am defending Rapport, I refuse to have it and would never recommend it based on the problems we see on this forum.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Thanks all. I don't have the same password for anything except sites I log into for competitions so that wasn't it. In fact my ebay & paypal log ins are both very obscure, based on something that was on TV when I had to change them. Anyway, seems to be ok for now so fingers crossed.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
