cloned hard drive and broadband

Have just cloned my old hard drive to a new one using Driveimagexml.
Everything went across to the new drive ok or so I thought.
I tried to connect to my internet provider using new drive but without any luck.
What I was wondering in the transfer of data did the internet package lose something ?
So what I think I will do is uninstall the broadband and re-install.
Unless anybody has a solution or thoughts to the above problem.
As always thanks for any help offered.

You don't need to 'install broadband'. How are you connecting? A cable from your modem or router, or wireless?
Check your network connections in Windows.0 -
Have you tried rebooting the modem/router?Move along, nothing to see.0

wired or wifi ?? may just need to delete any saved wifi networks, reset winsock catalog, and re-connect. Unless a driver has become corrupted - have you checked Device Manager ??......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
