I need some adive bought a trein ticket online need to use underground to go from one rail to the other although a did take the 1st train half hour early to give me 30min more to travel on underground and still missed my train had to pay £44 to get on next train.
i missed the train i was booked on due to planed rail work on underground made it impossible to get to liverpool street there was nothing on website and the website told me to take the closed lines what's my rights>?
to get money back really upset
Im sure there must be a way to get my money back as they should of told me when booking the ticket that there is rail works
which means they could not provide the service that i paid for!!!!

Lets pretend you were travelling from Brighton to Cambridge. Was your ticket from Brighton to Cambridge, or did you have two separate tickets - one for Brighton to Victoria and another from Liverpool Street to Cambridge?
As a side note, engineering works would definitely of been on the Tube website.0 -
Let's just clear this up. Are you saying your ticket only allowed you to travel on one specific timed train into London and another out of it? If this is the case can I ask how you managed to get an earlier train? You need to be a little more specific about what ticket you had.
I also back up the previous poster, the engineering works would have been on the website.0 -
What website are you talking about anyway? The tube one or a train one? And how many tickets involved? One, two or three?
If it was one ticket then you ought to be able to get your money back. More than one dubious but not necessarily impossible.
Mind you you are going to need to explain it an awful lot better than you have.0 -

How many tickets were held?
For each ticket we need:- Ticket Type
- From
- To
- Route
- Validity
For each reservation coupon we need:- From
- To
- Valid at
In addition we need to know concisely which trains you caught, if you can let us know the times the trains departed and arrived at the stations you got on and off, that would be useful.
If all the above information is provided I am confident I can provide an accurate answer, that may well be along the lines of a reassurance that you are entitled to your money back. However at present I am unable to assist without that information.0
