IVA Company Help needed please!!!
Options
Hope someone out there can give me some good advice.
I have recently been contacted by Direct Legal & Collections with regard to a £6,900 loan i have outstanding. I am currently unemployed after a period of illness and am living with my mother and will not be able to work until the new year.
I have looked at my options (and the fearsome reputation this organisation has) and believe that entering into an IVA is probably my best bet, if only to ensure that i do not have to deal directly with this company. But the question i have is which comapny would any recommend? I have been contacte by 123 debt solutions but looking around online some people seem to have had a bad experience.
Can anyone help me please? To be honest i'm scared stiff about this and would like to get something in place as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that you pop over to https://www.iva.com. There you will find a list of companies, with reviews. Have a word with a couple and get some case specific advise, It's free and without obligation. If you also visit https://www.iva.co.uk a few IP's post over there and you can get a feel for how they work. They will discuss all options with you, not just IVA, which might not be suitable at the moment.
I would not go with a company that has contacted you ---- rather one I had approached myself. It's important to speak to more than one, so that you can choose one you are comfortable with.
Have a read around the forums -- it's a bit of a steep learning curve to start and you won't even know the questions, let alone tha answers !!0 -
Thanks a lot.
To be honest, my head is swimming a bit and i'm terrified.0 -
A good first call would be to Melanie Giles' team. Even if you don't end up using them I am told they are excellent at helping you sort things out in your head.0

Is this your only debt?
