Am using FF for some things that do not seem to work on chrome but keep getting "FireFox is not responding" every few minutes. Is it my computer or FF?

Hi,
what version of FF are you using, it's now up to 7.0.1.0 -
Try a different browser eg Opera - http://www.opera.com/browser/download/0

One to try:
In Firefox Options > General tab check the option Always check to see if check that Firefox is the default browser
In Internet Explorer Tools > Internet options > Programs tab check the option Tell me if internet explorer is not the default option
In Chrome do the equivalent (sorry but I don't know the path as I don't use Chrome)
This cured some conflicts with IE and Firefox for me a while back

I got that a lot while using GMail & Facebook, since I switched to a far better browser,Opera,I've not had an issue.0

I was getting that a lot on an earlier version - the cure was to go to the options and change the OS shown to an earlier one. Worked for me anyway.0

I found that Fire fox,as well as my system, greatly benefits if the Controller dns is flushed a cpl of times a week. Its easy to do In windows 7 (not sure bout any other platform but the techs may want to advise on that)
In windows 7.
Go to start type in the search box, command At the top of the list you will see Command Prompt Right click to Run as administrator
A dos shell will appear. typ the following (notice the space between the g and the /) ipconfig /flushdns then hit the return key. Now reboot your computer.
Your system should now be running a little faster..
Hope this helps.0
