Sainsburys ink price blunder.

Popped in to my local Sainsburys today and whilst my OH went shopping, I went to look at the price of replacement cartridges for an HP printer she had been looking-at.
I found the following prices for the HP 364 Black -
Normal - £8.47
XL - £26.99
Now, considering the XL is only twice the capacity of the normal cart.
Hence, you can get 3 normal carts for the price of 1 XL.
Haven't checked other normal/XL prices, so have no idea if this discrepancy is across the board, or just for this particular cart.

Sounds like normal supermarket pricing these days, it is nerarly always cheaper to buy multiple small items rather than a large one.0 -
I pointed-out the price difference to a Sainsburys employee and he went and did a scan and check. He was shocked and said he would make sure anyone buying the XL was informed that they could get 1/3rd more ink and still save 20p by buying 3 normal carts instead.Never Knowingly Understood.

can you really see that happening ??? They'd be left with all their stock of XL carts !!!!
Keep an eye out for a "special offer" on XL carts soon, to shift the stock

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Agreed with the above, they are surely trying to get rid of the std capacities and then have an offer to clear out the XL's shame you can't recycle the 364's aswell!!Every Little helps :rotfl:0
