ditch mse in favour of avira or avast - better virus protection and far lighter on system resources :)

if the date and time are wrong, your CMOS battery may need replacing - this is the battery sitting on the motherboard which keeps the internal clock going while the pc is off.

On a desktop - take side panel off, and look for the flat round battery (bout the size of a 10p coin)on the mobo, pop it out and replace. Most use a CR2032 or similar. More fiddly on a laptop as it depends where/how it's fitted.

If date and time goes wrong again it is probably time for a new CMOS battery , easy to change (usually) and cheap as chips at Pound/89p/similar stores

if not you can get it to update automatically online when you turn your computer on instead of replacing battery you have to go into the clock settings to do that tho

Yep, but if the bios settings have been changed then that has to be done every time too.
