If you book a few days in advance you can get major discounts - If i'd booked myself and oh's tickets 10 days in advance, it'd have cost us a tenner each - we booked 6 days in advance and it cost us £30 for teh 2 of us - better than the £80 it usually is!~*Cerenia*~

Thanks Roberto. I fiddled around. I booked tickets with a railcard via normal process - then I used the discounted link to book again. When you get to the basket stage all journeys show and the discount is applied to all. Then remove the full price journey. :j0

This happened to me last time there was an offer like this.

Well yes and you always should (as with air tickets) - up to three months in advance, which is the extent of availability. This offer, however, is an additional discount on all purchases.Cerenia wrote:If you book a few days in advance you can get major discountsTime is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Can you check prices etc without signing up?
I'm not going to sign up unless it's worth it.0 -
A different company I assume, but as my pc was down at work this morning I rang First Great Western for tickets to London. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least, £7.50 pp each way. Not sure if this is a 'normal' rate to everyone else, but I was gobsmacked! Needless to say I booked them straight away. They were for lunchtime departures, leaving 14th Feb, & returning 15th Feb. Add that to my bargain Travelodge £15 room, I'm one happy lady!
I am in the future you know...
