can you help??? i was thinking of getting a new, not brand new 05 reg or something. i put all my details into moneysupermarket and gor a quote for my currant car which was £453, which was for a 51 reg petrol yaris. i then put in a quote for a focus deisel which came out at £780 i was shocked. i then thought of a smaller car so put details in for a fiesta 52 reg diesel that came back at £620 i couldnt believe it. the only think i had changed was that i didnt own the car yet, i then put in my own car details again without changing anything and that came back at £620 i then went to see the different changes i'd made the only thing was that i put i didn't own it yet. i then out in that i did own it and it went back to £453. is this right that as long as you have owned the car foe several years the insurance is much cheaper, than if i wanted to change my car of the same speck etc but not owning it. if so insurance companies are saying if you change you car even for the same everything we will charge you several hundred pound for the privalidge of driving a different car even if it the same size, model, reg, etc can you please help with an explanation ??????????
