I was going to ask if anyone had managed to downshift from Liz Earle (the C&P is very lovely, but a bit on the pricey side even if it does last ages!) but you've already done it...
Off to Superdrug with me then!
There was (and I can't find it now, because I'm too tight to pay the subscription) an article in the Times Magazine's beauty column a while back about hot cloth cleansing. I can't remember the exact content but I think the general gist was that the method was more important than the cleanser itself...
Thanks everyone!:TSealed pot challenger#1677

I've used c&p for years, and am on my last tube and am not likely to re-buy as it has got too pricey. Anyway - my OH ran out of shaving gel last week and so used some of the c&p for shaving and his skin never looked better afterward, and I was wondering if there was a cheaper shave product similar this (even the sensitive gels and foams make him a bit spotty afterward) ?0

There is a Liz Earle TSV on QVC this Saturday if anyone is interested.
Rumoured to be this: http://images-p.qvc.com/is/image/uk/2/14/226114.001
c&p downsized to 100ml

At £42+ then £4.95 and no easy pay, no thanks. Lots of complaints on the Facebook page about the TSV, price and what is in it.0

I use the products and have done for a few years. I'm quite lucky because I work near the shop on the Kings Road, so I can pop there in my lunch break so I don't have to pay P & P.
The cloths don't bother me. I know you are supposed to change them every day, but I only do mine weekly. And when they got old, I used them instead of baby wipes to clean my baby.0 -

I thought about it but when I checked it was pretty similar to the TSV they did back in February. At least that's saved me nearly £50.00.Did owe £9,951.96

In my opinion QVC are not producing the TSVs they used to. I haven't bought a LE one for years as I've found now that there are only a handful of products that I really like. Out of the TSV yesterday I could have given the cleanser to my daughter, I would have used the toner, moisturiser, body wash and cleanser. I don't like any of her masks as I don't like their fragrance and having used the eyebright before can say it does nothing for me (wasn't even effective as an eye make up remover).
Concerning the body and hair products I really wouldn't choose to buy them because there are other companies whose products i prefer for body and hair products ie Philosophy and Soap & Glory (shower gels) and Tresemme and Happy Hair Days (hair products). Saying that though I do still love the Nourishing body cream as it does moisturise my skin all day but I'd want a full sized one thank you.
I know that I'll buy Emma some C&P for Christmas and I'd like to buy the moisturiser for myself when I've finished my present night cream If I wanted the body cream ok these three products would cost more than the TSV did but I'd be getting what I want without wondering how to get rid of those items that I don't want. See to me that's not value!
On another note I actually emailed LE yesterday as my husband seems to have had a reaction to the sensitive shave cream. Anyone else heard of anyone having a reaction to this. I've asked them if they know of any of the ingredients that may have set his skin off.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Its not really QVC's fault, they have to go with what each company is will to give them. QVC no doubt say well this and that are top sellers we would like those in the TSV, the company then agrees or disagrees and the other items are worked out and how much profit they both can make from selling said TSV.
Lots of brand's TSVs are the same old same old now. QVC know oh yes this will sell as it sold before so you get boring almost same items in each TSV now.
L'Occitane christmas one is coming up and its basiclly the same as ones before.0 -

The cloths don't bother me at all and I just chuck them in the wash.
I use this. I love the whole hot cloth cleansing, its feels clean like soap & water, but is gentle:D
I've tried ALL the cheap versions of C&P & this is without doubt the best - also the cheapest:money:
I think the LE moisturiser is very reasonably priced & the toner, as they both last ages, but the C&P goes very quickly, so works out expensive:mad:0
