buses havent turned up girlfreind stuck 19 miles from home

girlfreind went to visit a freind today for the afternoon and was due to catch bus home at 330 she phoned at 4 to say it hadnt turned up but there was another due at 415 that did not turn up either so shes waiting their

i have phoned the bus company (and their office is closed ) so no one seems to know whats going on thing is shes 19 miles from home with no money (just her bus ticket ) i dont drive

anyone know what to do about complaining

When is the next bus? If it is not in a reasonable ti meI would phone her a taxi to bring her to yours and you pay when she arrives. GET A DATED RECEIPT WITH TIME and I would be in to the bus station for refund as soon as it opens. If no joy forward copy to CEO and keep original of receipt. What if something happened to her (god forbid). This is unacceptable.

Does her friend not have a car? Is there a train station nearby?

thankfully one of the other bus services has seen them all waiting and has picked them up when he finished his shift (there was an acident apparently but they should have at least turned up ) (she just rang to let me know

If the accident makes them very late it may not have been possible to continue the route - either because the driver has finished his shift and there is no one else available, or because the bus has been allocated elsewhere.

Good to know that she is safely on her way home now.
