I need to start making a small website for a local residents group.
Years ago I did learn some HTML and got quite good at it. My problem is that I am getting older and my memory or knowledge are not what they were
What program would you guys suggest for me to start with? Basically, I want something simple that I can get to grips with quickly and therefore it should be WYSIWYG initially.
As my knowledge hopefully comes back, I would be able to modify the pages at code level.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

nvu is based on the old netscape composer.
Its good and I use it, but it does have some quirks.0 -
NVU is similar to the now discontinued Microsoft Frontpage. I have used both. Frontpage would have been ideal for you, very WYSIWYG, you might be able to get a licensed copy on CD-ROM off Ebay and get a nice chunkly printed manual to go with it. Sometimes you can't beat having a paper manual to flip through.0

Most PC magazines have something like this on the CD or DVD - I use Name Web Editor which came free with one some time ago0

Why not use MS Publisher. It creates the most amazing websites0

Open Office produces quite clean html (unlike Word!) and is free.0
