Now Sainsbury's is at it...

Just been on mysupermarket and now Sainsbury's has taken their milk of offer too (was 3 for £3) and matched Tesco's so it's £1.25 for 4 pints!!

I double checked on their website!

 I go through 12 - 18 pints a week, that's £1 a week more!!!

You thought about them milk bags at sainsburys, they're on offer at 3 for £2 and you buy the jug for £1.98.
  • I have considered them a few times but:

    Bottles Milk £1.25 = 5.5p/100ml
    Milk Bags 3 for £2 = 5.9p/100ml

Tesco also sell 4pts of milk for £1 but it's the discount brand creamfields. It's still paesturised and tastes exactly the same. They do it in full fat, semi and 1% I think but all the bottles look the same and have a purple lid and label so you have to read the front to make sure you pick up the right one.
  • pruney That stuff tastes like water! Although i will add I drink 8-12 pints a week because i'm pregnant and crave it, but never liked it, so I can taste the variations, which causes problems!

It's not so much how much we use and the cost as the fact that this offer was advertised until 10.11.11 and they took it off to price match Mr T so called 'price drop'... I just cannot see how this is seen as a good offer!!!!

Have a word with sainsburys to show your dislike to the new offer.
  • I was using the milkbags until a few weeks ago. They were 2 for £1 which worked out great, then 2 for £1.50 cheaper to buy a bottle and now 3 for £2 lol.................losing track of the offer!!

£1 shop is only 2 litres, not a full 4 pints.

Sainsburys still have their 4pts 1% milk at £1
