Easy - Drought resistant, long flowering hardy plants
Options
I love geraniums. They are very drought resistant, long flowering and easy to grow. The only thing is that they die when left outside & I don't have space indoors for them.
ARe they any other plants that are like geraniums in being drought resistant, long flowering and is also hardy (survive the winter outside)

We grow pansies most of the year. Perennials like dicentra and aquilegia do well during their season with minimum attention; they die down to nothing and surprise you by reappearing next year. Failing that, you're looking at hardy shrubs like ceanothus, buddleia or lavatera. Woody herbs like rosemary also work. Certain roses can have a long flowering season, and it's not an arcane art looking after them only suitable for specialists and experts. Have a poke around on Thompson & Morgan or Dobies for ideas.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

I agree with dicentra, buddliea and aquilegia, and here's some I grow:
fuschia - they flower for ever and don't seem to mind if you forget to water.
Red Hot Pokers are also very drought tolerant though I can't promise long lasting flowers thanks to my local birds picking them apart for bug access, so I don't know.
Achillea are another one which is happy in lots of heat & not too much water and flower for aggees, as an added bonus it's very popular with bees & butterflies.
Euphorbia - great for drought resistance, different types have differnt interest - not only flowers but interesting leaves & barks.
nepeta - lovely little bitty flowers that last for ages, good groundcover.
phygelius flowers for an age and grows pretty quickly
sedum - extremely drought tolerant and again also attractive to butterflies.
verbena bonariensis lasts well and spreads well and doesn't seem bothered by water. You can also leave the dried seed heads for winter interest.
Anything that comes from a hot country should be good as far as drought tolerance, but these are the ones I grow that I can vouch for. Hope this helps! oh and happy growing!0 -
Hyssop is very drought tolerant, flowers for a long time and for all of that time is absolutely smothered in bees!:j0

Erigeron daisies will flower all year with absolutely no attention - don't plant if you don't want them to self seed everywhere0

Hardy geraniums are not at all like geraniums, but they form large or small green mounds covered with flowers for much of the year and seen indestructible, both in shade and sun.0
