    I believe you can reclaim the cost of your taxi when your bus hasn't turned up or is more than 30minutes late. I've never done it - but shared one once with a girl at my bus stop who said you could. I've never seen her since to find out if she got her money back.

  • As for getting the cowboy bus company Stagecoach to pay for the taxi. The reply was prove it that the buses never turned up and implied that I was probably in the Pub when the bus turned up.
    I was miles from a pub. It was a major job just to get a cab to come out.

    Well guess what? I'm back with another complaint! After my previous complaint everything improved MASSIVELY. Even some of the drivers managed to be polite for a while! But it's all gone to hell in a handcart. So disappointing...

    For some reason they've switched the shifts of the drivers and the vehicle that should leave the station as the 4.45PM bus, has to wait for a driver to come in with another bus. This second vehicle becomes the 5.15 bus with the driver that came in with the vehicle that is the 4.45PM bus. Get it?

    Anywho, I only manage to get the 4.45 bus on a Friday because of work. Last Friday the 4.45 bus left the station at 5.20. I live about 6 miles out of town and I walked in my front door at 6.15PM. The 5.15 bus actually overtook us. I was livid!

    This Friday I got home early - 6.05 instead of 6.15! And the only reason this happened was because I found an inspector in the bus station at 5PM, and asked why the 4.45 bus was still there. Instead of waiting for the 5.15 bus to come in with the 4.45 driver, they decided to send out the bus sat there with it's existing driver as the 5.15 bus.

    It still didn't leave till 5.20 though! And it only did part of the journey that it was supposed to do! So anyone wanting to travel to certain destinations had to wait for the vehicle that WOULD have been the 5.15 bus, to get into the bus station and turn around as the very, VERY late 4.45 bus!

    Oh my god it's complicated! Anyway I've put it on fixmytransport.com and have complained (again) to the contact I made with my previous set of complaints.

    But I wondered if anyone has an email address for Brian Souter, the CEO of Stagecoach? Apparently his wife has caught him out with an anonymous complaint before now - and I'd like to add to his workload!
