It's that time again! :-
http://www.britishparkingawards.co.uk/2012/home2012.php
Perhaps we should set up our own awards for PPCs? Some of the categories could be :-
(1) the largest number of court cases lost by a single PPC
(2) the letter with the most basic legal errors sent out to a motorist
(3) the most confusing car-park sign
(4) the Micheal Sobell award to solicitors who don't know the basic principles of contract law.
Any more categories would be welcome!

I think they're down to just the two ex-cops as their third partner, Mr Dobbie, left in April.torontoboy45 wrote: »a swimmingly-excellent idea.
my nomination under the 'NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK' category: District Enforcement of stafford.
(Tongue firmly in cheek)
Supermarket Parking Partner of the Year 2011 - my nomination goes to Asda who have so widely allowed TCP to ticket their customers.
Charity Parking Partner of the Year 2011 - my nomination, and this would actually be for a second year running had we instituted the awards last year, is Disabled Motoring UK aka Mobilise for their continued work running interference for PPC's who ticket their own membership.
Rehabilitation of Parking Offenders Award 2011 - my joint nomination for this goes to the British Parking Association and the DVLA for their understanding and compassion in being able to maintain the BPA AOS membership of Observices Parking Consultancy after their multiple criminal convictions at Wolverhampton Crown Court when it would have been so easy just to expel them and ban them from ever gaining access to DVLA records again.
Phoenix Parking Award of the Year 2011 - again this is a joint award for two companies whose dedication to the application of an obscure interpretation of the law of contract has been so dogged that they were able to avoid the loss of BPA AOS membership by seamlessly morphing into another entity. The nominees are:
Armtrac Security Services (previously Armtrac Security Services Ltd)
VP Parking Solutions Ltd (prev. AS Securi-T)
Wildest Flight of Fantasy Parking Award of the Year 2011 - my nomination goes to Green Parking Ltd whose understanding of the law of contract as demonstrated by their T's & C's that attempt to seek so completely to eliminate the concept of privity of contract. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
One that ought to be added to the list:
Lifetime Achievement in Self Delusion 2011 - the nominee is Mike Perkins of Combined Parking Solutions, whose tireless trolling of internet forums under a myriad of usernames continues unabated, in splendid defiance of all logic, legal rulings and facts.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -

I wonder which "celebrity" will take the silver and indirectly condone the PPC industry by presenting the awards this time round?0

Best Toilet Paper Supplier awards?
