Windows Messenger interfering with IE7?

Does the Windows Messenger thing interfer with IE7 settings?
There's some sort of a checklist if WM doesn't start properly it checks (and changes) IE settings.
Ah, I don't have much time for the messenger and have even less time for IE now.

I've installed the IE7 thing on about 20 computers now. On 4 of them the new IE is misbehaving, all to do with the installation.

Firefox then it is, boys and girls.

Bodes well for Vista too.

  • Windows messenger uses ie for web rendering.

I think you've answered your own question.

    Use firefox.

+Look into Gaim if you IM people often. It doesnt have the network dependent feature rich games and the such, but if all you do is chat then its good for the job.
