Phase Eight - bad customer services

Phase eight refused to give me a refund on a dress I'd bought, despite me having a printed copy of the emails written below. The shop manager said it's their policy. The customer services woman is saying that my original email said that she was quoting from my email and that I'd said customer services at the phase eight shop had said I could have I refund. I don't say that in my email as there is no customer services in the phase eight shop at Cheshire oaks. There is a mcarthur Glen customer services who operate the Cheshire oaks shopping centre.
My email to phase eight customer services
Message: Hi. I bought a dress from your shop at Cheshire oaks, ellesmere port yesterday. I was undecided about whether or not to buy it and in the shop felt under pressure to peruse the purchase.! However, the shop assistant has written on the receipt that it is non returnable.! She said that this is because it's a sample dress. I find this very peculiar and I haven't worn the dress, I haven't cut the label off it, in fact it is still as purchased. I had a very uncomfortable shopping experience and frankly felt pressurised in to making this purchase. The customer services at Cheshire oaks agree that I should be able to return the dress. However, I am re extant to go back to that shop based upon my experience. Please can I return the dress, unworn and with the labels still attached to another store? Thanks
Customer services reply
Please accept my apologies for the delayed response to your query.
Unfortunately as you purchased the item from the Cheshire oaks store and they have agreed to refund you will need to return to that store.
Kind Regards

Her email clearly states "they have agreed to a refund" which is why I went to the shop yesterday. And now both the shop and customer services at the head office are refusing to give me a refund.
Advice please
!

"The customer services at Cheshire oaks agree that I should be able to return the dress". It isn't clear that you meant MacArthur Glen customer services NOT phase eight.0
