no :( but have antibioics and appt with dentist in nov when I get paid again and hopefully will do nhs root canal.

really must sell stuff on ebay/gumtree/etc to get monies ready for all this extra expense.

am trying to get DH to put curtain rail up over front door to keep cold out, and am going to go on freecycle to see if I can get curtain for back door.

DH keeps telling me to put heat on, and I keep saying no, he doesn't pay heating bill, last year he promised to contribute to it and he didn't.

actually need to wait to see if tenancy is going to be renewed and if so if LL is going to be stupid enough to put rent up again.

if he does we will move out, but if he doesn't then I can get alterations done to house. he has doors short everywhere, so cold wind blows through.

he told me he never had a problem with cold house, yes, because he had heating blasting on all the time!

Hubby needs to give himself a shake :)

Door curtains are great as they prevent draughts and also prevent heat escaping, also think about draught excluder's if you don't already have them - they're a great help especially on internal doors. My wife is not a big sewer but ran up her own quite easily when we got our first house and they do make a noticeable difference.

Hubby lives in the 1980s when everyone had more money :)

I bought draught excluders from Wilkos when they first opened here last year, they were a bargain, £1 each, the door ones you put in front of doors. They help a little but we really need the draught excluders on the doors, the brush ones to stop the cold air.
