but the key is to not buy things just because you can get an APG or JTD back. ie, buying lots of wine and chocs,

    She meant us, Raven!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You get the wine & I get the [STRIKE]chocs[/STRIKE] rowntrees:p

Me with you Doc enjoy them chocs all the more knowing they were cheap or in the good old days free:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

stumbled on a bit of a glitch for DM readers gutted never realised earlier this only works for them with the half price voucher for WHSmiths and the 13 week subscriptiuon so probs no point posting in main thread. DH went to get two papers yesterday as we do the daily mail rewards & have 2 accounts he went to a self service counter but the SA was helping him put them through scanned both papers swiped the WHSmith coupon then the free voucher realised nothing to pay it took half price off both papers. We had been using the free coupon putting one through then doing seperate trans for half price DOOH so thought others might have been doing the same HIH

I am going to try it today in my normal store but doesn't have self service tills but maybe buy something else so doesn't say 0 to pay trouble is everything else in there over priced lol

    no there isn't sorry :(

    APG - asda price guarantee

JTD - Tesco Just the Difference

DH - Darling Husband (in my case, near to being x!)

    DS - Darling Son

    DD- Darling Daughter

    SD - Stepdaughter

    OH - Other Half

FB - Facebook unless Jeferey writes it, then it is Foster Baby :) as he fosters. And we all coo when it is a FB

Spuds and shillings - McCain game

Swaggers/swagbucks - a newly found site for making £5 amazon vouchers

    As - Asda

    Ts - Tesco

what else do we abbreviate? post and we will reply :D
Can I ask what all the initials stand for, have been reading this and coupon thread and i admit its like reading a foreign language things like APG etc. Is there somewhere where its all explained, sorry to be so dumb but I admit am fascinated with all the couponing going on. and how people can bring a £50 shop down to £20 odd. I have just when had coupons bought the relevant item if I use it and hand in or scan the coupon in self service and never saved much maybe £1 if lucky if I had a few relevant coupons. Thanks

Hey MT, you are taking more than you can chew here;);););) think you should not included in the discount thread as the 1st pages is getting longer & longer:D:D they won't read the 1st page carps anyway:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: think you will be wasting your time. Use your time to look for APGs:p:p

Am sure Aesop don't mind posting again when somebody ask over here that way it will not cluster up your discount thread.

  • hi PH

on 1st pages of coupon thread don't go by posts date, as each time someone new takes over the thread their name is just transfered on thread, dates of 1st posts stay the same as when they were originally started.

little tip, on welcome page ( 1st post)you will see a index of thread posts , they are also actually direct links to those posts.
    here, near bottom
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=47565159&postcount=3

only ones not linked are gone not forgotten

what I would say to you, is build your store cupboard with the money off coupons (MOCS) and vouchers.

for example, when T or Mr T as we sometimes call them (Tesco) had 3 for 2 on baking stuff, I was buying Wrights Bread flour, etc, 3 for 2, and using 3 Wrights coupons fro 30p off, so that is 90p off your bill already and one item was free anyway.

when T was selling Fairy Liquid for a £1 or £1.50 etc and supersavvyme was offering the vouchers for fairy liquid at £1 off, we were stocking up on fairy liquid. I still do it now, if I see somewhere that fairy is only £1 or I get a till spit from sainsbobs for money off, and it reduces it to £1 or less, or sometimes free, I get it!

    and then stash it.

Do you know I never think to do that, yes buy things like this but include the free or reduced price in normal shopping, from now on anything like that goes in store cupboard.

Oh I am so glad I came back on here - joined yonks ago then wandered off, I guess I wasn't ready to live within my means, so used to living in debt.

Been digging around to see what coupons I have in, have a nice twinings one for 50p and I adore their breakfast tea, so will get a box and hubby has the gregs one in his wallet ready for a day he has to work through as one nearby.

I admit in past many times I hav:Te had coupons and forgot about in till past date, not any more.
