t order for tomorrow ..... currently a £29.77 - hoping to get it down to
£26.52 if coupons accepted after I give them to delivery driver. Put through different bank account, so can see how much is actually debited/credited back.
quite pleased as got tuna x 2 which is very expensive at moment. some store cupboard stuff.0 -
Genmod55; thanks for the info about the cc points being credited back, I did this for the first time today so will keep an eye out for it (would be helpful if they are going to do a cc exhange just to send out vouchers in smaller denominations) Got a really cute little all in one for my niece today, red with white dots and a reindeer on the front, plus a pink stripy top with a applique bunny on it, total £10.50 - all paid for (bar 50p) with the cc exchange and wombled points :j
Glad things are coming together on the adoption front Wendy. I saw a prog once about something they do in the States where babies who will potenitally be adopted stay with their potential adoptive family but still spend time with their birth parents thus being able to bond with both - of course, if the adoption doesn't happen it's hard on the family who were going to adopt but it's believed it's better for the child.
Some successful couponing today, Sacla sauces from Mr T (the Dalaggio one that's 99p) a free Ginger Joe (oooeeerrr ) and a free hovis part bake. Wombling very thin on the ground in both Mr A and Mr T - Mr T ususally not great at the weekend but was suprised at A, must be the time of year, everyone waiting until next pay day. Still I still have about £10 apg to be getting on with, a healthy grocery budget left this month and plenty of food in the freezer - thanks to everyone on here :AFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

New thread in the Arms with a slightly different title which I think explains better what the drivel is now
I think it is better in the arms as there is not a lot of coupon related chat anymore and there is a New coupon chat thread..
Hopefully Browntoe will close this thread
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/48472497#Comment_48472497Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Like I said, the Arms is funny.... you can have threads that are close to the knuckle... etc and nobody says anything, but the minute you start a new thread that sounds like it should belong somewhere else.... it gets deleted.0

Hi peeps...the dreaded jet-lag set in and I'm all over the place with sleep at the moment...will prob be back to normal later this week....doing a lot of reading in bed in the middle of the night .....
Got everything crossed for you Wendy....
Not sure what the posts re this one closing and being moved are all about, but had this bookmarked and get you all when I click on it, so not appeared to have been moved for me as yet...Doc sent me a link to find you but that did not work, my old one does though....weird, or prob my jet-lag making me all confused....
Decided to shop at Morrisons to get the receipts for the £25 and was very pleased with their prices which I thought were very reasonable....Comfort was on offer at £2 and SA took a 40p moc and saw I also had one for 75p off, which would not scan, so she got fed up inputting barcode, just grabbed the bottle , used that code and took £2 off...so got the Comfort for free and made 40p......
Don't think I will be here for GFS Blue, have been asked back down to Surrey to visit my new daughter in law for a week as my son will be in Canada and she thought it would be good for me to spend some time with her...she is lovely and we got on so well in Las Vegas...I think the fact that I rode the roller coaster impressed her !!!She was in Milan when we got back the other day , but when she returned she had bought me some Italian chocolate( she knows I love chocolate)... but we only spent a few hours together as both she and my son had were so busy with work commitments.....
Managing to catch up with comps before dozing off in front of the fire....must try and get out for a walk this afternoon( after the Grand Prix)....0 -
:j Morning and afternoon all! :j
Thanks to...Genmod55, Jeferey, Bully, MT, Aesop, Idlesaver, Blue and everyone else who I have rudely missed...you're all so kind. I have missed you all. Fell asleep last night with the laptop infront of me. Hubby said I looked happy enough! :rotfl:Cheers Wendy. We know a few other foster carers that look after babies who need adopting. Some seem to be adopted fairly quickly (under 1 year) and others go on for way too long. It makes it difficult for the foster carers as they get attached and some of them end up going for adoption themselves even if it's not what they intended to do to start with.
The Children's Act is flawed in that it gives too much power to the parent's who screwed the kids up in the first place and there isn't a cat in hell's chance of the kids going back to them.
Sorry for the epic, rant over!
I think their right to appeal and the last minute nature of it really affects the child's ability to bond and can be inately cruel. Whilst I understand most really believe they can take care of them and this hope might be misplaced...however I also think the child could be reassured that their birth parents tried to keep them and really did love them. Its a tough time - I'm learning the birth parents were also failed and if their childhood had been better the cycle could have changed. Whilst some birth parents need stringing up...most need support and understanding too. I'm reading and learning tons...its upsetting too...but I'm sure we can make a difference.Hi peeps...the dreaded jet-lag set in and I'm all over the place with sleep at the moment...will prob be back to normal later this week....doing a lot of reading in bed in the middle of the night .....

Sound like a great time was had by all!
I am a bit lost about what's been happening...but everyone is here and I'm grateful for that! I don't think I want to know about it as I suspect more agro ensued...as long as I have this thread I'm a happy girl! :T
We're big F1 fans too - we record and avoid the news - so I might avert my eyes if you say how its gone!
Well been wheeled out for some fresh air and if I play my cards right might be taken for lunch! Have a great day all
