I have a dell xps m1710 with t7200 cpu , 1 gb ram and 7900gtx.
I downloaded the simpsons 1080p trailer and tried to play it on my laptop with windows media player and it dosent play proprely, when I double click the file the front of the preview comes and after that ot just dosent play.
If I click on the bar ( u know that bar at the bottom that shows how much of that file has been
played) to a farther point it plays for a few seconds and stops again.
Can anyone help me out please.
Cheers.

Doesnt media player download the codecs etc for you? failing that try media player classic, and install FFDshow which has codec support - thats what i've got installed and HD stuff plays on my pc0

Hmm.. a lot of the videos I download are HDTV, but they seem normal quality to me, do you think if I download a patch it would change? I'm not on dual core though so not sure what patch I'd need.0
