help us to invest

we have been informed that there is a uk account that if you invested 75k you were given 5k. you were able to obtain a regular income from the interest. Trouble is that I cant find it anywhere.....can anyone assist.

    Nope, never heard of that one.
    Can guarantee you'd be at the back of a VERY long line of MSEers if there was! A bank giving away money - not in the UK I don't think!

    Urban legend IMHO - but if the source that "informed" you wants to name them - my skates will be on soonest for a visit to-morrow morning.

    Possibly some form of "income bond" with introductory cashback - main problem with these schemes is that your original capital tends to vanish rather quickly.

    You could do the same yourself - keep £5k and put the other £70k in a savings account. Would give you around £3.8k income a year (before tax, if any), but the value of your £70k goes down by inflation.

    It could exist as an investment product but cant think of any savings product.
