  • went to lidls after reading this thread about the tea bags to get some:D but as it was my first visit to lidls I got distracted by all the other low prices I came out with out them:mad:

I am deffenatley going to start shopping there more as I could not belive how cheap some of there stuff was, my shop came in at £19.50 if I had got the same amount where I work (Sainsbug's) even with my discount I could not have got it for that price.

Was not too keen on the cheap ones but the Gold teabags at Lidl are very good and well worth paying the extra from the normal lidl ones.
Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.

Wasn't really sure where to post this:o We've got a new Lidl near us and I wondered what the consensus was on their tea bags please (assume they do some:o). I usually drink Twinings Everyday if that helps at all. I stock uo on it when it's on offer though and my stocks are low.

hi there i can confirm that lidls Gold teabags in the dark blue and gold box are great..and i am fussy!alot cheaper than any other decent tea ive come across!the only way to find out is to try them!

I used to buy Asda own brand for about three years or more. Recently in the past year I have noticed a definate decline in the quality of the tea. I can not describe it but the Asda own brand tastes rather un-tea like. They must have changed their supplier or the supply of tea they use has gone downhill.
Anyway I purchased Lidl own brand tea- comes in a red box, costs about 27p or something like that and the teabags are round and come wrapped in foil. The taste is like proper tea-very high quality indeed. Try a box!

I bought some of the Gold teabags ages ago but haven't treid them until tonight as I had plenty of Twinings in stock from when I bought them cheap.

Really enjoyed my brew:) I think I'll try the really cheap ones next time.
  • Just tried some of these T bags from Lidl -mine are square and not in foil- but they are pretty good. My missus does not agree, but I reckon that had I not told her they were from Lidl, she would not have known the difference. 27p for 80 -BARGAIN.
  • We tried some of the cheap Lidl tea bags, they were drinkable but would not choose them. Finally settled on the Sainsbury Smart Price ones, they are find and have had no complaints from visitors.

Thanks for starting the thread. We've been having Taylor's Yorkshire tea (stocked up when on offer) for ages now but have noticed lately that the quality is declining. We like a strong cup and a good 'tanny' colour. Recommendations?

And Aldi Gold. Not cheap compared to Lidl prices suggested here but nice £1.3?/80. Probably come from the same place

Their Red Label aren't as good IMO.

Will try some Lidl when I get close to one.
