Sony A390 DSLR

Hi,

I have just bought a Sony A390 DSLR and the black finish at the top, front, back and bottom of the camera appears a little mottled and marked. Is this normal?

I have not talking about the hand grips at the side?

Can anyone with a A390 help?

Yes! They are a not a totally flat finish. I has a slight pattern to it which resists wear much better than a smooth finish which will polish up in the areas you hold.

My son's Sony A55 is the same, I was a little concerned when I saw it but he assured me it's meant to be like that.
