Help - large accommodation for group of mums taking kids away for weekend

Can anyone help, I am tearing my hair out at the mo.

I am after some accommodation in the South of England, preferrably no further than 1 and a half hours drive from Berkshire.

It is for a group of 4 mums who want to get away from husbands for a weekend and take their toddlers with them.

Ideally it would be a cottage/house with four separate bedrooms or if you can think of any other combination please let me know.

I have done a google search and looked through the 'holiday cottage' websites but can't see the wood for the trees.

Ideally not looking to pay more than £450 for a weekend.

most have searches that you can select 4+ rooms and if you find something from choose a cottage- go through bounty website for a dicount

Thanks for this, but I can't find anything suitable for the arrangements we need. They are either too expensive, or don't have the right beds.

Has anyone stayed in a four bedroomed rented cottage/house which they liked?

I have just booked a weekend away (3 nights ) with Haven. It is in Somerset but the other haven sites were similar in price.
I had a 4 bedroom 'silver' chalet and it cost £136.
The prices varied on the date you wanted, this price was for the end of April.
Linen and entertainment passes were also included.

try http://www.helpfulholidays.com/ they specialise in large properties, and they *are* really helpful if you ring and ask for advice.

There is also http://www.cottages4you.co.uk again if you ring them they can tell you which cottages are in groups, but you sometimes have to ring more than once to get a helpful operator.

Not as basic as you might think, and quite fun. We've done it with groups of friends.

Someone from my company stayed here 18 months ago. I was thinking of going later this year.

How many in each bedroom? inc small people!

Thanks, I have just realised the web link the site takes you to is a church not Garth House, just clicked on further and seen it all.

The problem is the double beds, but we might be able to get the kids to sleep on the floor instead of kicking us mums out of bed!
