Issue with Accenta burglar alarm in new house

Hello, very new to this so sorry if I've posted in the wrong place
Have moved into a new rented house and it came with a burglar alarm. The landlord claimed that it worked before we moved in, the only thing that changed before hand was that he got a handyman to fix a light socket - for which he turned off the mains.
After this time (still before we moved in) the burglar alarm light started flashing white, and the little keypad is illuminated but none of the power LEDs are lit.
We haven't found an actual Control Box anywhere in the house - the only place we could think is in the loft but we have no ladder!
The keypad says Accenta and is the keypad for the G3/Gen4 series.
Is it possible to have a system with JUST a keypad?
If it is how would I try and reset it or get power to it?
Any ideas would be great
Thank you!!
Baldy

Hi, i'm not an alarm engineer,
but It sounds like you have a small remote keypad, connected to the control box.
and probably the panel has locked up, possibly caused by a faulty backup battery.
But even if you found the box, what would you do?
There will be tamper switches, so likely to set if off again.
Your landlord will know the user codes and also more importantly the engineer's code which will probably be needed to reset the system.
This is really the sort of thing that you pay the landlord to sort out, so personally i would advise that you politely ask him to sort it out.
You simply haven't been given enough info ..
