BAD NEWS FROM BARCLAYCARD (formerly morgan stanley) PPI HELP ANYONE??

Hi just wondered if anyone could help...
I complained to barclaycard 15 weeks ago about my ppi - i immediately cancelled my ppi at the same time
Ive had my credit card at least 7 years with them (my card was previously owned by morgan stanley and then bought??? by barclaycard) After keeping me waiting 14 /15 weeks ive recieved a letter basically saying theres no proof that the application (which i filled in when it was morgan stanley) was prefilled and i wasnt told that ppi was optional
Is this just tactics by barclaycard??
would barclaycard have my original application form is this why they didnt find proof??
or shall i give up now and just think thank chrunchie its friday and carry on trying to pay my ppi off??

Is this just tactics by barclaycard??
is it just tactics by you in your complaint?
For them to answer like that suggests your complaint used those reasons. They disagree with those reasons. What is your evidence to say they are wrong?would barclaycard have my original application form is this why they didnt find proof??
Maybe, maybe not. However, they would know the application process used even if they no longer hold the documentation.or shall i give up now and just think thank chrunchie its friday and carry on trying to pay my ppi off??
If you are confident in your complaint then you can go to the FOS.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
If i complained to the FOS could i put more reason that the ppi was no use to me that i gave barclaycard? like i lived at home and had bank of mum and at the time too? i feel a bit gutted as barclaycard appeared very dissisimissive of my claim.0

Having "bank of mum" available does not mean you had no need for PPI.
In any event, if you chose to have it, then whether it was suitable or not is irrelevant.urs sinserly,
