Mortgage PPI Help - Can I Claim???

Hello All,

We took out a mortgage in 2003 that was active until December 2007.

At the time we were very green with all things financial and were given the impression in a meeting with the bank that the
PPI was a condition of taking out the mortgage, that it was not optional with the bank manager being particularly pushy. They did
also not enquire as to historic health problems & my wife had suffered from a bad back.

As such I believe we were mis-sold the insurance.

The payment was made monthly, separate to the actual mortgage
payment.

Do you think it is worth making a claim and has anyone else had any
experience of a similar scenario?

Many thanks...

That isnt something that is going to void the policy though.

What evidence do you have to support your accusation?

That means it was set up correctly.

Assuming you complain rather than claim, then on paper you dont appear to have much going for you. You may or may not have been given the impression you had to have it but chances are nothing exists to support your accusation. It is set up correctly and a bad back is not going to void eligibility.

If it wasnt a bank, I would say you have no chance. However, some of the banks are upholding complaints at the moment as they have too high a volume to deal with.
