Hi, please can anyone offer any advice? I'm trying to claim back ppi but don't have all the account numbers and most accounts have now been closed. I've tried contacting the bank to retrieve the account numbers and terms and conditions but they said the could not as the accounts were now closed, not sure what to do now ????

If the bank no longer holds information and you dont then even if you had the numbers, it wouldnt matter. There is nothing to support your claim of mis-sale or their ability to find out what you paid, if you even paid anything or if they had sold it correctly or not.

Hi there
Which bank is this if you don't mind me asking?
With mine - Lloyds, I was told the same thing at first, then I emailed them, gave them as many details as possible, I no longer back with them either, and they emailed back the following day or so with details of all loans and credit cards with ppi, going back to the mid 90's.
However, if any of them are or were with the bank you bank with now and you have online banking, try checking the statements for the loans.
The loan account numbers are normally shown next to the loan monthly payment.
Or as dunstonh says a SAR may help, they do only generally go back to the last 6 years, but sometimes even prior to that in my experience with some.
Failing the above with checking online banking, you could also ask directly in the bank if you've not done so yet.
Speak to the branch manager or whoever available.
To SAR you enclose the one off £10 cheque or postal order and there is a full SAR template letter below, again if you bank with them, write your bank account number and they should send details of all accounts taken out with them.
They have 40 calendar days.
