I have an Egg card and for the past 6 months they have been taking out the minimum payment and I have been paying extra money into that account as well.
I recieved my statement on line from them on the 2nd September informing me they will take out £30.00 this month on the 16th September.
I made a payment of £500 to Egg and it was transfered from my Halifax on September 6th to Egg because I had a good bonus this month from work.
Now Ive just been online and noticed that they havent taken my minumum payment this month so Ive just paid in £35.00 to cover this in case they start charging me interest.
Was this the right thing to do??Ive ran out of credit so I cant use my phone to ring them at the moment.
Do Egg sometimes miss taking payments from you??

Egg must be one of the companies who don't take your minimum if you've already made a payment in excess of that in that statement period.
Most take the minimum payment regardless and word it like that on your statement, but there are some that don't if you make a payment first.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I agree with tixy, nothing to worry about this month. But incase you want reassuring for next months DD you could call to ensure it hasn't been cancelled or look at your banks list of active DD. Either way you have clearly covered the min payment this month so there won't be any nasty surprises. Well done for taking off another £500 off the balance.:T'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'
