Do Centreparcs count the guests?

Hi,
A friend and I were talking about taking our kids to cp - sharing a villa to make it a bit cheaper. Trouble is, all together, there'd be 10 of us, and centreparcs only book villas up to 8 people. Some of the kids will sleep in cots, so no problem accomodation-wise, I just wondered if anyone checks?

Hi. we have only been to OW (3 times) but the answer there is yes. You drive into a little office, where you hand over your registration cards and the member of staff has always counted them back as she's looked in the car. You mention some children sleeping in cots AFAIK children under 2 years old (ie before 2nd birthday) do not count for occupancy limits.0

I think they would have to for insurance purposes if nothing else.....0

is it for centerparcs in the UK.....The one i went to in Holland didn't check our car last year..anybody could of gone with us0

I been to all UK ones several times. I have had to fill in registration cards and hand in at the entrance when you get the keys.
Cot sleepers dont count in max number.
My friend phoned them after she booked with discount codes online just to make sure that there were 2 cots for them when they arrived. There were.
She said it felt a bit small with so many of them there, but they were out most of the time so didn't matter.0 -
They may or may not check.......but....if you got found out, they would throw you off the park immediately!
Is it worth this risk?0 -
Next time go abroad if you can, they do bigger villas and it's usually a lot cheaper.
We've just paid £340 for a 4 bedroom deluxe villa in Holland at Half Term for a midweek stay. It was over £900 for a similar one in the UK. The ferry for two cars is £106 so altogether we've paid £446 instead of £900! :TIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
As previous posts have stated... they check - well at least at the Sherwood Forest one they do.
The gate staff have a good look in the car as you are given your passes.0 -
Hi, and thanks for everyone's reply.
Last time I went, there were 8 of us total. Five arrived in the car in the afternoon, then when three more arrived by train (picked up by OH) in the early evening, drove to the car park and walked to the lodge without going near arrivals.
I was just wondering whether we could do it this way, or if they have secret cameras and stuff (paranoid, me, no)0
