Best way to repair/tape roof tile felt?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend the best way to repair roof tile felt in the attic? On one side of the roof the felt has ripped in a few places and flapping around.

I was going to just tape it up with dome carpet tape or something like that.

What would you recommend?

Thanks for your help.

Measure inbetween the roof rafters add 3mm and cut some 2x1 timer and wedge in between, this will hold it inplace, until it a perminant repair can be made.
A thankyou is payment enough .
  • I have used flashing tape in the past- http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=94496&ts=84781

Prime the area first with the special primer as it makes it stick much better-

can't find the primer on screwfix for some reason

Do it on a warmish day, not when it is freezing, you can always use an electric blow gun to get it to stick better, BUT BE VERY CAREFUL IN A LOFT WITH ONE OF THESE!!!!!
