Taking food, vitamins and prescription drugs to Marrakech

We're planning to take some snack foods and vitamin and mineral supplements with us to Marrakech but I can't seem to find out what the customs regulations are with these things other than that food is 'restricted'. I don't want to go to the bother if they'll be taken off us at customs or worse still, get in trouble. Will also need to take some prescription drugs. Anyone been to Morocco who can advise or point me in the direction of a relevant website? Many thanks.

I can't advise on the vitamins, but might be able to help with the prescription drugs. I am going on a flight and for reasons of being scared i am going to be taking some prescription pills on the plane. I asked the doctor about the need for a covering letter. I was assured that as long as the pills are in the pack, the pharmacy stickers are on the packet, and correspond to me then there would be no issue.
Hope this helps with at least half of your issue.
How about buying the vitamins when you have crossed to the other side of the check in, if there is a boots or equivalent at the airport?Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0 -

You need to ask the relevant immigration authority, not your doctor!0 -

That's exactly what I thought, bobajob, but searched the internet in vain for any detailed information. All I could find out was that import of foodstuffs is 'restricted' without explaining what is or isn't and nothing at all about prescription drugs or vitamins, then I thought of my old friends on MSE and thought someone is bound to know.
