Could we please have moneysaving by county?

OK, so we've got local moneysaving that splits the UK and Eire into 4 regions, but could we please have a forum to split into county?

After all, I'm in Cornwall and don't have an interest in local bargains in Surry. But others in Devon and Cornwall may be interested to know that you can pick up a whole bathroom suite at Trago Mills during one of their January sale days for around £125.

Just a suggestion what about putting cornwall into 'search' and then see what is relevant to you

I agree with Hugo SP - country spilts are a little too general.
If everyone put the county in their post, searches would work - but everyone doesn't include the county name.

How about regions of a country - e.g. north, mid, south Wales?
England could be SW; south coast; SE; West Mids; East Mids etc

So that means Northern Ireland would have all the countys, then the same with Scotland, Wales and England, so Northern Ireland would have Down, Belfast, Londonderry, etc etc.. and the same with the mainland. Then for Erine just have one big thread.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did try it and I came up with all sorts of posts.

The one that I read was about a dog that had been taken in by a kind MSE member after getting lost in Lancashire. Only the very last post in the thread (some 200 replies iirc) mentioned the word 'cornwall', and - you guessed it, that was enough to put it into my search results!

So, I tried and still feel that we need MSE by County:D

Why not start a Cornwall or even Devon and Cornwall thread in the England Board similar to the Milton Keynes thread?

I would think it could prove quite popular for tourists looking for best place to eat, whats on etc with recommendations, as we have in the Scotland board

I think money saving by area needs some thought..

Either there needs to be threads set up for each town/county/area or even better sub boards.. Just splitting south-east, london, south-west, south-wales, north-wales, midlands, north-west, north-east would be a great improvement..

What sort of threads did you have in mind that would warrant splitting up the local boards into areas? I see you don't have a split in mind for the Scotland board where in fact it would probably be Borders, West Coast, East Coast, Central and Highlands. Then of course there are the Islands

Although we have a lively and friendly board for Scotland I really can't see splitting into areas would bring a lot of new threads apart from being busy with tourist requests which we are always happy to help with.

The NI appears busier with more threads as it has had its own board for much longer and when HugoSP starts his thread about Cornwall perhaps this will jolt England board into life for the summer

hehe.. I didn't know the main areas for scotland and I was only really illustrating my point.

I just think the england board is really hard to read as threads get scattered everywhere.. All the usual local money saving questions - but just easier to find. So when looking for stuff about manchester - such as good cheap restaurants, local plumbers etc I don't have to sift through posts about plumbers in cornwall!
