1st time buyer not sure what to do about Utilities
Options
I am a first time buyer and will be completing on the flat myself and my partner bought on the 10th.
I know we have to set up our utilities and have been advised to get meter readings ont he day of completeion so the bill can be sent to the previous owners and not us.
I guess we just ring the owners companies? They ahve gas and electricity but different suppliers.
Also I don't know what is best to go with for new suppliers. All the comparsion sites seem to want details I don't have of the previous owners utitlities.
I am also not sure what's the best to go with.
Its a two bedroom flat with myself and gf living there. Current owners have British gas and n-power.
Any advice?
Thanks
