Cahoot savings account

I am going through the process of opening a cahoot savings account (via quidco of course!!), just sending of my id etc.

Just have a quick question, it says to deposit money into the account I have to do it by direct debit, does this mean I cannot just do a transfer from my existing current account (with natwest)?

In the past I have done odd transfers online from my (natwest) current account to friends/family accounts, just by putting in their account number and sort code, can I not just do this for my cahoot account?

Hope this makes sense!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!

Comments

  • Yes you can. In fact on the evidence of this recent thread, that may be the only way to deposit.
  • thanks Deleted_User! wonder why on all the paperwork they sent me it goes on about the direct debits? perhaps they are a bit slow in changing the paperwork
