People with With-Profits policy were entitled to shares. SL bank accounts, Mortgages & health insurance do not qualify.
  • I had two With Profits Endowments - sold them just before eligibility date - am I entitled to anything?

Does anyone know if AXA Sun Life are part of Standard Life or if Axa Sun Life has been through a similar exercise? You can probably tell I don't have a Standard Life policy but do have a 'with profits' policy from Axa Sun Life :D

They have nothing to do with Standard life, but in 2000 they decided to distribute some of the assets in their With profits funds and there was a big fuss about how much should go to policyholders compared with shareholders. The Consumers Assoc actually took them to court.

Looks like an action replay is coming up with Aviva (aka Commerical Union and General Accident before, Norwich Union now). Also at the Pru.

They are more cautious about handing it all over to the shareholders now so there's a lot more "consultation" going on :D
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
  • I had a policy with them and I cashed it in around 2004 to buy my current car. I have emailed them to see if I am eligible, but I have a funny feeling I am goingto be told I have "only just" missed out :D
I have no more money to give - all you companies out there - do your worst - I give in!! :(

What about Equitable Life policies that I believe transferred to Standard Life last year?
