    I use trashmail expecially for things like getting insurance quotes.

    You can set up a false mail just for a set period and they route messages to your real addy.
    I agree there is little banks can do about this - these guys cover their tracks too well. Best thing is educating people. Personally I wouldn't even open these mails.

    Simplest rule to follow is to always check links in emails before clicking them.
    Just hover over the link and you'll see the link displayed in the bottom task bar.

    I always do this for all emails.
