How do I stop quick time player automatically loading in my bottom right had corner everytime I start up? Also an annoying AOL demo loads each time I start up. I've ticked the don't play again option but it keeps doing so, what should I do. Cheers dudes.

Start, Run, then type msconfig then hit enter then go to the start up tab and untick those two items then restart PC after applying then when PC restarts tick box then ok.

But Ive found that even doing this, after you use Quicktime again it will load again at start up and you will have to go through the whole process again. Any way to stop this completely?

Uninstall it and use Quicktime Alternative

Quicktime is defaulted to load at startup, you can change this by going into quicktime property settings and disabling (unticking) the auto start up feature.

Clearly I am a bit of a tool, think I've found and sorted it now.

Personally, I've removed all the media players that I've accumulated over the years and now just use VLC media player.

It's not the prettiest of interfaces but it will play just about every media file that's available.
