New laptop

Ok so my 5 year old trusted HP laptop needs a new powerjack for a cost of £75. Due to age of laptop i have decided it may be time to buy a new one instead of paying for repair.

Any recommendations for cheap laptops? (under £350)

I only really use the laptop for web browsing, downloading music/photos, facebook/u tube etc. Also want microsoft office so i have access to word for letter writing and such. I am a fan of HP laptops (mine has been so reliable) so Pref a HP laptop in this price range.

Also... Is there anywhere that will buy my old laptop for parts or repair (or even trade in)?
